Jinlida has completed the research, development and production of its new reinforced mesh coiler, and the unit has passed both factory testing and formal customer acceptance. The machine is the winding and coiling unit that sits at the end of a gabion mesh production line, taking finished hexagonal mesh off the loom and rolling it into transport-ready coils.
The upgrade was driven by direct feedback from gabion manufacturers. Two complaints came up repeatedly: standard coilers struggle once wire diameter and mesh width increase, and removing a heavy finished coil at the end of a shift is slow and physically demanding for operators. The reinforced model was engineered to solve both.
The new unit keeps the same footprint and control interface as the previous generation, so it can be retrofitted to existing lines without rebuilding the production layout. The structural and handling components, however, have been substantially strengthened.
| Item | Standard model | Reinforced model |
|---|---|---|
| Frame structure | Standard welded frame | Reinforced double-beam welded frame with gusseted corners |
| Coil load capacity | Approx. 300 kg | Up to 600 kg per coil |
| Main shaft | Standard shaft and bearings | Uprated shaft with heavy-duty bearings |
| Coil removal | Manual lift-off | Quick-release tilting discharge |
| Unloading time | 3–5 minutes | Under 1 minute |
| Mesh width | Up to 2.0 m | 2.0–4.0 m |
The prototype completed a full production validation programme before release. The machine was run continuously with galvanized and PVC coated wire from 2.0 m up to 4.0 m mesh width, with coil weight stepped up in stages to confirm structural behaviour, shaft stiffness and winding quality at the upper load limit. Coil removal was timed at every stage to verify the easier unloading claim under real working conditions.
The reinforced coiler then went through formal customer acceptance, where the visiting team inspected the frame welds, checked coil concentricity and operated the discharge mechanism themselves. Acceptance was granted, and the model is now released for order.
The reinforced mesh coiler is available both as a standalone upgrade for existing gabion mesh lines and as part of a complete Jinlida gabion box production line. Delivery lead time and configuration details for specific wire diameters and mesh widths can be confirmed on request. Jinlida continues to support customers with pre-shipment testing, on-site installation and operator training.
Jinlida designs and manufactures CNC gabion mesh machines, gabion box production lines, mesh coilers and complete tooling for contractors and manufacturers across the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and South America.
